Brand Launch

Nouaison Gin Launch

An immersive, multi-sensory brand launch that redefined what a gin event could be in Bangkok’s F&B scene.

Year :

2018

Industry :

Alcobev

Client :

Nouaison

Project Duration :

5 weeks

Problem :

Nouaison Gin had been quietly available in Thailand for months with no official launch, no market entry plan, and no narrative connecting it to the country’s bar and restaurant scene. With competitors actively investing in presence, the brand risked fading into the background without a defining moment to introduce itself.

Solution :

I built a launch concept that would speak directly to Bangkok’s creative class while staying true to Nouaison’s sophisticated French identity. Partnering with Karmakamet, we developed a bespoke scent to fill the venue, setting a sensory tone from the moment guests arrived. I worked with a street photographer to capture the brand in distinctive Bangkok settings, turning those images into a curated exhibition on the night. A renowned guest mixologist created a menu of signature serves, while an eccentric DJ layered atmosphere with a custom soundtrack. The centrepiece was a two-part art installation: one canvas fully printed, the other a giant “paint-by-numbers” version for guests to interact with using brand-matched paints. Every element reinforced the brand’s ties to artistry and craftsmanship.

Challenge :

Orchestrating multiple creative disciplines, international talent, and a high-touch guest experience all on a modest budget required precise planning and tight collaboration. The challenge was to keep the brand’s French elegance intact while embedding it naturally into Bangkok’s eclectic, artistic scene.

Summary :

The event generated outstanding industry feedback, firmly positioning Nouaison Gin as a brand of cultural relevance and quality. It became a reference point for what an inventive, multi-layered spirits launch could look like in Southeast Asia.
